Celebrating 50 Years of Corporate Congregations: 1960-2010

Lyngblomsten is partnered with Christian congregations across the Twin Cities. Together we strengthen each other's ministry to seniors. Each partner church signs a covenant with Lyngblomsten affirming the mutual understanding and commitment to provide for the needs of older adults, a task that is inherent in the mission of the Church and clearly expressed in Lyngblomsten's own mission: Influenced by Christ, Lyngblomsten provides a ministry of compassionate care and innovative services to older adults in order to preserve and enhance their quality of life. More than just providing for the needs of older congregants, we encourage conversations about how to engage seniors in the life of the church.

Corporate congregations are involved in the well-being of older adults through discussions about the development of programs and services and policies. Lyngblomsten works to expand and enrich the senior ministry in these churches. Our focus is on providing resources to enhance senior ministry, such as our annual Senior Ministry Conference, lay visitation training, and Speakers Bureau.

Corporate congregations are integrally involved in fulfilling Lyngblomsten's goal of creating programming and services to meet the elderly where they are most comfortable--in their homes, their churches, and their communities. This is achieved through our Home- and Community-Based Services in partnership with our churches.

Corporate congregations appoint delegates to serve as liaisons between their church and Lyngblomsten. The majority of the Lyngblomsten Board of Directors come from our partner churches.
