Be a Delegate

Lyngblomsten is partnered in ministry with more than three dozen Christian congregations in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.  Each congregation is represented by up to five delegates who serve as liaisons between their churches and Lyngblomsten.  Persons interested in representing their church should contact their lead delegate (your church office will know who that is) or call Elizabeth Ekholm, Lyngblomsten’s Director of Church Relations, at (651) 632-5320.  Delegates serve for a period of one year and can renew their commitment annually if they wish.

The primary responsibilities of a delegate are:

  1. Support Lyngblomsten’s mission.
  2. Share information about Lyngblomsten with your congregation, committees, church council, senior ministry groups, etc.
  3. Attend the spring and fall delegate meetings and the corporate annual meeting at Lyngblomsten.
  4. Elect Lyngblomsten’s Board of Directors and vote on any bylaws changes.
  5. Represent your church and any senior issues in discussions with Lyngblomsten and other church delegates.

Anyone who is interested in advocating for Lyngblomsten and senior ministry at your church should consider becoming a delegate.
