Volunteers Needed

We have more than 100 volunteer positions at Lyngblomsten ranging from pushing wheelchairs to popping popcorn to delivering mail, reading the newspaper, and driving the van. You can volunteer for whatever suits your interests, talents, and time. With so much flexibility, there's sure to be at least one way you can make a difference at Lyngblomsten!

Currently, our most urgent needs are:

Healing Helpers --Provide assistance and friendly visits to older adults who have moved back to their homes following a recent hospital stay because of a surgery or illness.

Gift Shop Volunteers -- Work as a cashier or serve at the coffee counter.

Van Drivers -- Transport seniors on outings to the bank, grocery store, community center, etc. No special license required. Good driving record is important.

Concert Transporters -- Push residents in wheelchairs to concerts in the chapel.

Musicians -- Perform for small group activities in the care center or for large group worship services in the chapel.

Special Friends -- Visit one-on-one with a resident.
