The Colors of Winona & The Minnesota Marine Art Museum
Board a coach bus and head down beautiful Highway 61, with the Fall colors at peak, to our destination—Winona. Along the way, a guide from the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge will tell us about the refuge, established in 1924, which runs along the Mississippi River through four states: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois.
Enjoy lunch in Winona at the Mexican restaurant El Patron. There will be burger/sandwich choices available if you're not a fan of Mexican. After lunch, visit the Minnesota Marine Art Museum, a hidden gem in Winona. The museum is home to masterpieces by artists such as Picasso, Monet, Van Gogh and many others.
On the way home we'll travel on the Wisconsin side to enjoy more fall colors and stop in Hastings for ice cream (cost on your own).
