Secured memory care for Alzheimer's & other dementias
There are two specialized secure neighborhoods (small grouping of resident rooms) for Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias located within our care center. These neighborhoods are secured to ensure the safety of residents who have risk for wandering and elopement. Staff who work in these neighborhoods feel especially “called” to work with residents living with memory impairments.
Like the general long-term care neighborhoods, we provide care for the human spirit as well as physical health. Following our person-centered model of care, residents make as many of their own choices and decisions as possible allowing us to honor their personal preferences. Residents, caregivers, families and volunteers grow strong ties through ongoing relationships.
